If you love this country and believe that our servicemen, servicewomen, and domestic police deserve innovative technologies, join us in shaping the future of defense.Role Overview:We are seeking a versatile, results-driven Business Development & Strategic Operations Specialist with a proven background in defense sales and marketing. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence by pre-selling our advanced systems and establishing strong relationships with military vehicle platform companies (including trucks, boats, drones, and planes) and adjacent sectors like law enforcement, homeland security, maritime shipping and more. As a trusted utility player, you'll blend strategic sales initiatives with hands-on operational tasks, driving our commercial efforts while working in tandem with our passionate engineering team.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development:Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the defense sector and adjacent markets.Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that supports our upcoming fundraising and commercial milestones.Leverage existing relationships and forge new ones with key decision-makers in defense, government agencies, and industry partners.Build a compelling book of business that showcases our advanced, directed energy systems.Strategic Operations & Marketing:Collaborate with our ops and government relations teams to align on capture management initiatives.Create dynamic collateral (slick sheets, presentations, proposals) that translates our high-tech, laser-based defense systems into tangible market advantages.Utilize your experience from previous defense roles to enhance our reputation and market credibility.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with our engineering and R&D teams to ensure that our product's technical strengths are effectively communicated to potential customers.Provide market insights and feedback to help refine our product strategy and positioning.Utility Tasks:Manage ad-hoc projects and operational initiatives that support our growth trajectory.Demonstrate the same self-direction and adaptability we value in our technical teams.Qualifications:Must be US Citizen or Green Card holderExperience:3-5 years in defense sales, business development, or marketing with a focus on complex technical products or systemsA proven track record in selling to government and military customers, with strong existing relationships within the defense community.Skills:Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.Demonstrated capability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and readiness to tackle diverse operational tasks.Attributes:Entrepreneurial mindset - no task too small, no undertaking too ambitiousPassion for defense innovation and a commitment to advancing national security.Why Join Aurelius Systems?Be part of a groundbreaking startup at the forefront of directed energy technology.Play a crucial role in driving our sales and commercial strategy as we build a defense solution that truly makes a difference.Please send an email to with your resume and a note on the most impressive thing youve built!
