Key Account Manager, ProjectsLocation Houston, TXRole OverviewAs a Key Account Manager for Projects, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the coordination, planning, and execution of door-to-door delivery for procured materials related to project facilities. This role involves collaborating with clients, addressing logistics challenges, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials while maintaining a high standard of customer service.Core ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary interface for clients, supporting annual load forecasting and storage requirements.Expedite and monitor deliverables, including quotes, booking details, and shipment status updates.Review client Expediting Reports to plan future shipments, identify transit bottlenecks, and flag estimated delivery durations.Assist schedulers and planners with questions related to Expediting Reports and Construction Shipping Registers.Attend weekly client procurement meetings to evaluate changes in plans and communicate logistics impacts.Build and maintain standard origin/destination pricing guides for project locations.Ensure seamless communication between teams in different locations to coordinate deliveries and staging requirements.Monitor and resolve operational challenges to maintain smooth logistics operations.QualificationsA minimum of 8 years' experience in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, or Distribution, with at least 3 years in a Project Logistics management role.Strong command of logistics services, including order management, customs brokerage, and transport management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Advanced user skills in logistics systems, such as eDC, CargoWise, and C2C.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Master's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.Solid experience in international transportation and logistics management.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary range of $71,000-$106,500 annually.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.This position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in managing complex logistics operations while delivering exceptional service to high-value clients.
