CodeGreen is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join its team in a full-time capacity. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to our clients in their fire safety planning. We're looking for someone comfortable in the field, directly interacting with clients and their subcontractors, and who is able to balance technical expertise with interpersonal skills to deliver a top-tier client experience. This is a full-time position located in New York, NY and will require local travel to client sites when you're not in the CodeGreen office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Job Responsibilities:Technical Perform fire code analysis for various applications including commercial, residential, industrial and energy storage systems. Perform plan reviews of fire alarm systems, fire department access plans, etc. Conduct fire alarm inspections, witness testing, and walkthroughs and attend FDNY inspections. Prepare inspection reports that are clear and actionable. Prepare engineering reports for fire modeling, fire code analysis, hazardous materials, hazard mitigation analysis. Prepare emergency action plans and fire protection plans. Prepare and submit FDNY filings. Project management Assist team with project management including communicating with clients and collaborators, ensuring delivery of our scope of work, billing and more. Responsible for overall delivery of the scope of work on time and budget. Business development Assist with preparing proposals and CRM Assist with preparing seminar and blog collateral Skills and QualificationsAt least 2-10 years of experience as an engineering consultant with a fire protection and code consulting focus. Effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and high level of professionalism and leadership with both clients and internal team Strong organization skills and a high level of attention-to-detail while efficiently delivering multiple projects. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment. General knowledge of construction plans for other trades (i.e., architectural, MEP, civil). Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Bluebeam Revu. Experience with fire modeling (Pyrosim, FDS) is a plus. Required CredentialsThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited school.
