We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Senior Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in the data center industry who is passionate about driving growth and leading a high-performing team.Position Overview:As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both individual sales and managing a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). With at least 5 years of experience in the data center industry and proven sales management skills, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through new business acquisition while also mentoring and guiding your team to achieve their goals. Your role will be split, with 75% of your time focused on sales activities and 25% dedicated to team management.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development (75% of time): · New Client Acquisition: Proactively generate new business opportunities by identifying and targeting potential clients in the data center industry.· Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, acting as the primary point of contact for sales inquiries and solution presentations.· Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets, using your deep industry knowledge to provide tailored solutions that align with client needs.· Pipeline Management: Oversee and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking all opportunities and ensuring timely follow-ups to close deals.· Revenue Goals: Achieve personal sales quotas while contributing to the company's overall revenue target.Team Leadership & Management (25% of time):· BDM Tracking & Support: Lead weekly tracker calls with the Business Development Managers, reviewing sales progress, setting performance benchmarks, and offering guidance and support to help them meet their goals.· Motivation & Development: Keep the BDM team motivated and focused on achieving sales targets. Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to enhance their sales performance.· Corrective Actions: Monitor the performance of the BDMs and implement corrective actions as necessary to address performance gaps, including performance improvement plans when required.· Onboarding and Offboarding: Play an active role in the hiring and onboarding process of new BDMs, ensuring the team is staffed with highly motivated, skilled professionals. Make tough decisions when necessary, including termination of underperforming team members.· Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO to provide feedback on team performance, market conditions, and sales trends, helping shape future sales strategies.Qualifications & Experience:· Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales within the data center industry, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth.· Sales Expertise: Strong background in direct sales and business development, with an ability to identify new opportunities, negotiate deals, and close sales.· Team Management: Experience leading and motivating sales teams, including handling performance management, training, and development, onboarding and offboarding.· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, lead presentations, and facilitate team meetings effectively.· Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions when necessary.· Results-Driven: Highly motivated and results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.What We Offer:Competitive salary and commission structureComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, retirement plans, etc.)Opportunities for career growth and professional developmentA collaborative and dynamic team environmentA chance to be a part of an innovative, fast-growing industry
