The Landman will start as a contractor for six (6) months and, if proven to be an A-player, will transition to a full-time employee with the opportunity to gain an equity stake in the company. This position is responsible for conducting title examination and properly documenting and reporting the findings in a clear and consistent format. The Candidate must be seeking a long-term, in-house position. A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Land Management or Business Administration. A minimum of 3 years of experience running title is a firm requirement. Participation in the local Professional Landman Association is a plus.Responsibilities:Identification of mineral and royalty owners within assigned areasOwnership entry into land database using guidelines, training, and leadership supportClear communication of potential title issues and possible results with multiple departments and team members, including those who may not have significant title experienceReview and interpret various documents and contracts including Mineral Deeds, Oil & Gas Leases, and other title documents.Assist with Title Review and other additional tasks or projects as neededJob Requirement Essentials:Bachelor's Degree3+ years of running title experienceStrong understanding of the mineral acquisitions and the Oil and Gas industryAbility to interpret documents regarding conveyance of property with regard to land, minerals and well ownershipProficient in title and curativeMust possess excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and writtenHighly proficient in Word and ExcelHighly skilled in grammar, spelling, and basic algebraPreferred Qualifications:An awarded individual with a strong list of achievements and accolades.Landman experienceCPL certificationAAPL membershipExceptionally detail oriented and organizedWorks well under pressureAble to work independently while still working as part of a teamOpen to working overtime when necessaryA professional attitude and demeanorAble to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance-driven, team-oriented environmentCompensation StructureContractor:Day rateEmployee:Equity stake potentialSalaryHealth BenefitsPaid vacation and holidays401KJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: From $350.00 per dayBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77024
