Their work not only supports scientific innovation but also ensures a more sustainable approach to space operations, making them a key player in shaping the future of humanitys presence beyond Earth.The role:We are seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to oversee the real-time management of spacecraft and ensure successful execution of space missions. This role involves monitoring spacecraft health, coordinating operational activities, and responding to anomalies to maintain mission success.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain the operational status of an advanced spacecraft fleet.Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies within spacecraft systems and subsystems.Develop technical reports on system performance, mission outcomes, and anomaly resolutions.Create telemetry monitoring tools, procedures, and manuals to support mission operations.Assist in pre-launch testing, mission planning, and in-orbit operations of new satellites.Complete a structured mission operations training program.Provide on-call support as needed.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.1+ years of experience in spacecraft operations or a related discipline.Strong understanding of spacecraft systems, mission operations, and control software.Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to real-time issues.Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and reporting.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving mission demands.Eligibility for a Secret and/or TS/SCI security clearance.Willingness to work occasional extended hours or weekends as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with advanced mission control systems and operations.Certifications in space systems or mission operations (e.g., Certified Space Mission Operator).Extensive industry experience in spacecraft control and mission execution.Proven ability to improve and streamline mission control processes.Export Control Requirements:Due to the nature of this role, applicants must meet specific U.S. export control regulations.
