OSEH Inc. is currently looking for a talented and experienced Licensed Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering with expertise in transportation systems, including roadways, highways, bridges, and transit systems.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review design plans, schedules, reports, calculations, estimates and specifications for various structural design related projects utilizing knowledge of relevant design principles.Use manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide infrastructure solutions for projects of varied complexity.Proactively manage a team, project scope, schedule, and budget while serving as the primary client liaison to bring the project to completion satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.Manage, review, and assist with engineered drawings, submittals, deliverables, and other documents for consistency with work scope, assessing conformance to contract specifications, and resolving any conflicts in interpretation. Overseeing and ensuring all submitted plans and documents adhere to standards, specifications, codes, and client requirements.Technical assignments may include bridge and culvert reconstruction design, retaining and noise wall design, and other related tasks.Work with the design team in facilitating OSEH Inc.'s quality control procedure for deliverable generation, archiving, and distribution/transmittal.Other duties as assigned**Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).Professional Engineer (PE) / Structural Engineer (SE) license required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects.Experience in design calculations and layouts and ability to design in steel, reinforced concrete.Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Bentley, STAADPro RAM or similar analytical software.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of state, and local transportation regulations and permitting processes.**Holiday Time OffPaid Time off (PTO)Medical, Dental and Vision coverage through OSEH group benefit plans.Eligibility for 401(k) plan subject to plan terms (OSEH matches up to 4% contribution).Eligibility for Commuter BenefitsHybrid work schedule (3 days/week in the office)Maternity and Paternity LeaveFlexibility to work 2 additional weeks (10 days) fully remote (abroad)
