Welding Engineer

LHH is actively seeking a Welding Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Rolling Meadows area.This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robotic welding processes, working with cross-fuctional teams, focusing in process improvement and production goals. This is an hourly position with approximately 10 hours of overtime a week. ResponsibilitiesProgram, troubleshoot and optimize robotic welding systemsIdentify process improvement opportunities Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsCreate/maintain parameters and procedures Design processes, fixtures and toolingDiagnose and repair equipment issues, including troubleshooting hardware and softwareConduct trainings and provide technical supportSupport safety throughout the facitlity Additional duties as neededQualificationsBachelors degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field 3+ years of Welding Robotic Systems experienceKnowledge of AWS, ASME, and other industry standards and codes Certified Welding Engineer or Certified Welding Inspector preferred LHH is a leader in permanent recruitment"”and in the placement of top talent.
