Support building a customer focused quality culture through data collection, process monitoring, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.You will foster a safety culture and the implementation of safety policies and training in compliance with the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work related injuries.Perform audits of the quality management system; perform process and product auditsLead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsMaintain line quality metrics and dashboard and participate in quality reviewsMonitor and review CTQ / SPC / Error Proofing Controls at every levelCollect, analyze, and report data and participate in improvement projectsAssist with training the plant associates in the QMS and TQM principlesReview and report supplier quality issues; review/manage/escalate supplier RCA/corrective actions.Participate in plant trials, write reports and generate improvement ideasSupport the overall continual improvement of quality effort for the site to drive increasing quality performance with the customerCross-train as an Operations Scheduler to serve as a backup for the primary scheduler, ensuring seamless operational continuityHow Youll Do It:Functional/Technical CompetenciesProcess Control (SPC, Error Proofing, Monitoring, Process Improvement)Knowledge of basic measuring tools (Caliper, tape measurer, carpenter's square)Auditing (execution, reporting, corrective action)Results oriented/Sense of UrgencyRoot cause analysis (5 Why analysis, cause and effect diagrams, A3, QPS)Supplier Quality, Internal Quality KPIs, Employee Quality TrainingsWhat Youll Bring:RequiredHS diploma or GEDOne to three years in manufacturingProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be at least 18 years or olderPreferredOne year in a Quality roleLean trainingWhy work at Serta Simmons Bedding?When you join SSB, you become part of a winning and diverse team that is excited and committed to helping people get better sleep.
