Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.Position purposeThe Mechanical Designer creates mechanical fabrication drawings and documents for our heater department.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/TasksReview project requirementsProduce 3D drawings based on specsInteract with sales and project engineering to resolve questionsRevise drawings to meet customer final requirementsCreate BOM and do calculations to ensure accuracyOther duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate's degree or equivalent in drafting/designMinimum 3-5 years' experienceKnowledge of Autodesk Inventor 2016Ability to read drawings, as well as P& IDKnowledge of ASME codeDemonstrated ability to read and understand specifications
