Skills needed to succeedExperience selling to ready-mix or precast producersAn understanding of the construction industry hierarchy and different project phases and tasks required from specification and design to construction.An understanding of Concrete Technology (practical and theoretical) gained through engineering, construction management, concrete specialist, or similar related fields.Ability to work both independently and within a team.Strong written and communication skills as well as active listening skills.Computer ***** Must be comfortable with using technology and the software typically utilized such as Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and have an ability to use those resources effectively in achieving job duties. Must also be proficient in various other typical business software such as virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Skype, Teams) shared document platforms (Dropbox) and CRM software.Ability to travel in the designated region on a regular basis (30-50% of the time) to meet with customers and other construction and design stakeholders, as well as project site visits.What you will be doingSupporting customers and their existing projects with product specification and product usage, and helping them land new work by meeting with their sales teams and providing periodic but continuous support, education and encouragement. Identifying and securing new customers.Researching and following up on new project opportunities in order to find new architects, engineers, contractors or concrete producing customers and secure opportunities for our products to be accepted and used on specific projects.Attend trade shows, seminars or conferences from time to time.Gathering industry information and insight on projects, project categories, competitors and other industry changes and report them to the Regional Manager for inclusion or action in the overall Regional or National plan.Work EnvironmentFull time remote position based out of the Northeast area.Flexible hours but a minimum of eight (8) hours Monday to Friday is required with the possibility of additional time from time to time based on projects and customer demand.Extensive travel within the region with use of video platforms when necessary to gain expedient access to team-members, concrete providers, construction team members and design/specification stakeholders.High functioning, integrated and supportive team for training and continually developing as a team for both individual and team growth.
