OSEH Inc. is currently looking for a talented and experienced Documentation Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago, Illinois. The Documentation Engineer will serve as an onsite representative of the OSEH's growing construction management team by working onsite performing inspection services on roadway and bridge projects throughout Chicago for IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and other clients.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval and distribution of both electronic, paper and other media project data.Manage and organize project documentation, including drawings, specifications, correspondence, and other essential documents.Review field inspection daily reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards.Conduct quality checks on project documents to identify any discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies that may impact project deliverables. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant team members.Establish and maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic documents. Ensure that documents are properly archived according to project requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and goals.Facilitate OSEH Inc.'s quality control procedure for deliverable generation, archiving, and distribution/transmittal.Other duties as assigned.**Minimum of 3 years of Construction Inspection experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceWorking knowledge of industry safety standards, guidelines, and specification codesAbility to work seamlessly with the project team, including other OSEH staff, clients, sub-consultants, and contractors.Ability to be flexible, working various shifts during the construction season.IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certificate**Holiday Time OffPaid Time off (PTO)Medical, Dental and Vision coverage through OSEH group benefit plans.Eligibility for 401(k) plan subject to plan terms (OSEH matches up to 4% contribution).Eligibility for Commuter BenefitsHybrid work schedule (3 days/week in the office)Maternity and Paternity LeaveFlexibility to work 2 additional weeks (10 days) fully remote (abroad)
