Schedule: In the Exhibit and Event industry, deadlines are firm and additional hours beyond 40 hours may be required frequently to meet the needs of the projects and the business.Are you passionate about estimating and looking for an opportunity to advance your career? If you are a self-starter with a great attitude and have the ability to read blueprints and a working knowledge of standard display building materials, we have the perfect job for you!We are seeking a talented ESTIMATOR to join our rock star Creative/Visual team. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and project managers on a daily basis to complete estimates for exhibit construction.JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for assisting the sales and production teams by providing timely and accurate pricing information pertaining to the company's exhibit fabrication, accounting for production methods, timeliness, and established material costs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for reviewing estimate requests, design drawings and specifications with appropriate personnel to understand project and gather necessary information.Identifying and gathering information on labor, material and time by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.Obtaining price quotes from vendors.Completing timely and accurate estimates from floor plans, sketches, models, renderings, oral and written descriptions, and other sources of information.Breaking down projects into components.Maintaining documentation and records to support projected cost of project.Keeping current on changes in production methods, material, labor costs and other standards, evaluating feasibility of meeting client requirements.Resolving discrepancies.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Associates or bachelor's degree Previous experience as estimator preferable, but not required, in trade show exhibits/events/construction/corporate interiorsAbility to read blueprints and a working knowledge of standard display building materials and techniques.Proficient with MS Office, web-based software.Strong math skills.Ability of operate computer hardware and to work with and learn new software applications.Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines.Cooperative, courteous, flexible and good natured.Conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive and active.Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and deal with employees in an efficient and professional manner.Must have reliable transportation.Must have attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and commitment to meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals.Valid driver's license.
