Senior IT Project Manager

Terms of EmploymentW2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension)This position is predominantly remote. There may be quarterly travel for planning sessions. This could be Chicago, Houston, or Baltimore. Travel would be reimbursed.Overview & Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical initiatives within ourCommercial Business Solutions team. This role will focus on a customer experience project, enhancing our digital platform and customer-facing portal. This is the second phase of an ongoing project focused on expanding online transactional capabilities and enhancing analytics features for our customers. You will manage one or more workstreams within this large-scale project, collaborating closely with the program manager, agile delivery teams, change management team, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role requires the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. You will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget, working in close partnership with product managers to deliver exceptional results. A key component of this project is enabling customers to transact online (including contract execution) rather than simply viewing information, as well as significantly improving the platform's analytics features. Responsibilities include:ï‚· Leading and managing complex, custom software development projects related to digitalcustomer-facing platforms.ï‚· Collaborating with product managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.ï‚· Developing and managing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.ï‚· Effectively managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.ï‚· Leading and motivating cross-functional project teams, including agile delivery teams.ï‚· Communicating project status and updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.ï‚· Ensuring adherence to project methodologies and best practices.ï‚· Managing vendor relationships, if applicable.ï‚· Conducting financial analysis and reporting on project performance.ï‚· Facilitating meetings and workshops with stakeholders.ï‚· Driving continuous improvement in project management processes.ï‚· Mentoring and coaching junior project managers, as needed.ï‚· Contributing to the overall success of the Commercial Business Solutions team.Required Skills & Experience:ï‚· PMP certification and 10+ years of experience in complex project management on custom-developed software projects.ï‚· Proven experience leading projects for cutting-edge digital/customer-facing platforms.ï‚· Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.ï‚· Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple interdependencies.ï‚· Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to adapt frameworks to meetbusiness and team needs.ï‚· Strong financial analysis and management skills.ï‚· Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.ï‚· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management.Preferred Skills & Experience:ï‚· Experience with user experience (UX) design principles.ï‚· Experience in the retail energy industry.
