Job Title: Engineering Project ManagerJob Location: Rochester, NYJOB SUMMARYThe Engineering Project Manager will lead our engineering team in thesuccessful design, scaling, and implementation of key platform equipment and processes.The position serves a critical need by providing oversight, organization, and managementof multiple projects of key organizational priority. The individual will work closely withinternal research and development teams as well as external firms and partners tosuccessfully derisk the company's platform processing technologies for commercialimplementation. In addition to having a strong engineering background and track recordof project management, we are looking for someone who can translatecomplicated workflows into clear communication, develop defined metrics of success forprojects, and share logical thought processes for risk assessment and project prioritiesgiven the strategic goals and development stage of the company.SELECTION CRITERIA • Bachelors degree in Engineering. A Masters degree is preferred;• 5+ years of experience in project management within the food, energy, or related industry;• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software;• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure;• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals;• Hands-on experience scaling equipment and working in pilot facilities is a plus;• A multidisciplinary knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineeringprinciples.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop and implement a technology roadmap to derisk scaled equipment solutions from proofof concept through commercialization;• Advise on project priority using risk assessment and an understanding of company developmentstage, resources, and strategy;• Define and identify project resource needs including the fostering of relationships with externalfirms and partners capable of supporting key equipment manufacturing, automation, andcontrols work projects;• Lead and manage multiple engineering projects and their internal and external stakeholders tosupport equipment development and pilot facility implementation;• Develop clearly defined metrics of success informed by economics and relevant technical drivers;• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation;• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget;• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and foodsafety and regulatory experts;• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as theyarise;• Communicate project status, updates, and any changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparencyand alignment;• Implement best practices and methodologies for project management, continuously improvingprocesses and efficiency;• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative andinnovative work environment;• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, particularly thoserelated to food safety and equipment standards;• Support techno-economic analyses to aid the development, design, and commercialization ofprocess equipment.COMPENSATION AND POSITION DETAILSThis is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
