HTI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager or Quality Engineer with a start-up manufacturing facility in Waynesboro, GA (located just south of Augusta, GA). This is a full-time, direct-hire, onsite, salaried position. The company offers fantastic benefits and opportunities for growth. Salary will depend on experience and education, and the range is approximately $78,000 - $85,000 / year.**Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is preferred, but not requiredMust have 4+ years of recent experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Supervisor/Manager, or Senior Quality Technician in a manufacturing/production environmentMust be able to interpret technical drawings/blueprints, work instructions, plans, diagrams and product specificationsExperience with measuring tools and quality-related equipmentExperience with an ISO and/or UL certified company is strongly preferredStrong communication and training skillsPrevious training, certifications, and/or experience in quality related problem-solving techniques (SPC, PFMEA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc.)Six Sigma or ASQ certification is a plusLocal candidates preferredWill ensure that all finished products meet quality standards, in accordance with internal and customer requirements and specifications. This role will involve heavy time on the production floor training production team members, and conducting quality checks on finished products.Job **Oversee, maintain, and improve the companys quality programAnalyze and recommend appropriate changes to quality proceduresEnsure production employees are trained on all processes and procedures related to qualityVerify that quality procedures are in use, functional, and efficientServe as a representative to external contacts for quality-related issues and internal/3rd party quality audits as neededTrack and report all quality-related KPI'sImplement, manage, evaluate, and assign Corrective Actions to appropriate departmentsCoordinate and communicate with the Purchasing Department to resolve supplier quality issuesEstablish, implement, and enforce procedures/SOP's for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safetyPromoting company-wide quality and process improvement effortsBenefits ****Medical, dental and vision insurance401K with 5% employer match3 weeks of vacation
