URL: Structural EngineerLocation: Dallas, TX (100% Onsite)Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.Job Description:Lead technical engineering conceptual studies for new aircraft, design optimization, production easement and trade studies.Provide technical solutions to production line for all structural and system installation issuesProvide technical direction to junior design engineers to accomplish day-to-day tasksEnsure effective management of assigned design activities by closely working with other engineering departments, internal and external customers, Methods, Quality and Procurement.Maintaining technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to airframe structuresPrepare structural and systems layouts, interface drawings, installations, assembly and detail drawingsCreate detailed three-dimensional CAD models of the aircraft external surfaces, structure and systems.Support design and program reviews with partners/suppliersStatus projects for functional managementQualifications:You have a Bachelor's or master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited universityYou have a minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structures design including systems installationsYou have an understanding of airframe configuration, optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling concepts and structural in-service requirementsExperience in control surface rigging and/or functional test engineering requirements.Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), Dimensional Management, and ability to perform manufacturing tolerance stack upsYou have an understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and certification proceduresYou have strong leadership, communication and inter-personal skillsYou are able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and techniciansYou have a good working knowledge of CAD packages such as CATIA V5 & Enovia or NX & Teamcenter and Microsoft Office applications."Were an equal opportunity employer.
