Job Title: Licensing SpecialistDuration: 6 Month ContractLocation: Deerfield ILPay Range: $28-$32could be potential "foot in the door" for FTE positionsStart: ASAPBackground: Licensing - Healthcare, Retail, etc.; Skills in Data Analysis helpfulInterview Process: Likely 1 round with teamContractor needed to support team in organization, tracking down, uploading various licenses/working through some "backlog" tasksRenewing various licensescan also serve as backup to administrative team who handles physical mail, scanning licenses, supporting closing stores, etc.Day-to-day tasks:Works independently to prepare and submit complex license applications, meeting the requirements of licensing jurisdictions.Effectively and regularly communicates with Licensing leadership and business partners to understand goals and achieve objectives.Represents Licensing internally to business partners and externally to licensing jurisdictions, resolving issues using negotiation and experience.Demonstrates independent judgment and critical thinking to proactively identify issues, appreciate operational impacts, and report on findings to internal and external stakeholders.Provides guidance by training, coaching, or mentoring other Licensing team members.Soft Skills:Highly Organized, Motivated (tasks can become tedious), strong communication skills, Continuous Improvement MindsetProcess Management:Research applicable rules and regulations within each state, county and local licensing jurisdiction affecting the operations of company units and facilities.Review jurisdictions rules, regulations and business practices in order to complete the licensing requirements for the different business units.Process, accurately complete, and, timely submit initial applications or renewals of pharmacy, DEA, business and other licenses required for the operation of the business.Manager NotesDay to DayWorks independently to prepare and submit complex license applications, meeting the requirements of licensing jurisdictions.Effectively and regularly communicates with Licensing leadership and business partners to understand goals and achieve objectives.Represents Licensing internally to business partners and externally to licensing jurisdictions, resolving issues using negotiation and experience.Demonstrates independent judgment and critical thinking to proactively identify issues, appreciate operational impacts, and report on findings to internal and external stakeholders.Provides guidance by training, coaching, or mentoring other Licensing team members.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years experience in an office.Experience interpreting and processing business related forms (i.e. mortgage documents, insurance forms)Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one) and in writing (emails, letters) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, external licensing agencies
