Marks Sattin is delighted to be partnered with a global firm in recruiting for their high-performing Valuations & Financial Advisory team, a market leader in providing valuation advice and opinions to clients including private equity, investment funds (including capital raising funds), asset managers, tech start-ups, and global corporates.The business is looking to appoint an experienced Valuations professional at the Director level to support the expansion of the team.This role can be operated from any of the following offices: New York, Chicago, and Boston.The firm will provide you with the opportunity to expand your career and further develop your experience as a commercial and technical adviser on critical value-related matters.Clients seek the firm's world-class valuation advice and independent valuations, typically in situations where there is, or could be, a material value impact, including:M&A transactions and capital raisingStrategic decisions, including joint ventures and strategic partnership agreementsFund / portfolio investmentsDisputes, arbitration, and mediationIntra-group restructuring and tax valuationsFinancial reportingIncentive schemesYour Role:As a Director within the team, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on value-related matters. You will be expected to:Develop and apply technical and commercial insights in a valuation contextLead and execute valuation engagementsEffectively manage, develop, and coach more junior team membersDevelop, review, and interpret analysis and present clearly articulated, considered, and insightful conclusionsDevelop effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholdersActively pursue new revenue and business development opportunitiesManage diverse teams within an inclusive team cultureYour Professional Skills, Experience, and Attributes should Include:Extensive valuation experience gained either in an accounting/valuation firm, bank, private equity, or similar institutionBachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred)Relevant certifications (CFA, ASA, CPA, ABV, or similar) strongly preferredA strong interest and willingness towards leading business development activity and a drive towards client service excellenceExceptional financial analytical skills with proficiency in ExcelThis is an outstanding opportunity to join an ever-growing Valuations team, with clear progression on offer for those looking to advance to Senior Directorship in the short to medium term.
