Sr. Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer: As a Senior Java Engineer, you will work with lead-level and fellow senior-level engineers to architect and implement solutions that enable customers to get the most out of what the client can offer. In this role, you will develop performant and robust Java applications while supplying the continued evaluation and advancement of web technologies in the organization.At InRhythm, you will: Work on a high-velocity scrum teamWork with clients to come up with solutions to real-world problemsArchitect and implement scalable end-to-end Web applicationsHelp team lead facilitate development processesProvide estimates and milestones for features/storiesWork with your mentor to learn and grow and mentor less experienced engineersContribute to the growth of InRhythm via interviewing and architectingThe Role:What's it all about and what we expect you to do day to dayOwn software delivery tasks (code development, test, deployment) at an application/softwarecomponent levelAble to troubleshoot and refactor existing code for exceptional code quality.Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work.Participate and contribute to team's agile process and decisions.Pull from backlog and deliver work after seeking guidance from experienced team members and inpartnership with full scrum team.Understands the big picture and end-to-end logical architecture of systems in ownership areasProvide feedback and suggestions on areas to improveUnderstands the use of Mastercard technology policies in everyday workDemonstrate active learning and sharing of software practices via Guild/Engineering community initiativesInfluence the decisions made by the team.Assist peers and less experienced members.Influence the decisions made by the team.Assist in technical documentation of APIs and services being delivered.What you bring to the table (Core Requirements):8+ years of Java development within an enterprise-level domainJava 8 (11 preferred) features like lambda expressions, Stream API, CompletableFuture, etc.Skilled with low-latency, high volume application developmentExperience on Linux (command line) is mustTeam will need expertise in CI/CD, and shift left testingNice to have Golang and/or RustExperienced with asynchronous programming, multithreading, implementing APIs, and Microservices, including Spring BootProficiency with SQLExperience with data sourcing, data modeling and data enrichmentExperience with Systems Design & CI/CD pipelinesCloud computing, preferably AWSSolid verbal and written communication and consultant/client-facing skills are a must.
