Accountant

Job Summary:Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Duties:Support both the corporate accounting team and the business area accounting teamPerform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entriesCreate accrual-type journal entries in collaboration with operational teamsReconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completenessAssist with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testingDocument processes and facilitate cross-training to ensure knowledge sharingContribute to project work, including process documentation and improvement initiativesDesired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or enterprise environmentNo specific industry experience required; candidates from diverse accounting backgrounds are welcomeSAP experience preferred, though experience with other large ERP systems is also acceptableProficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasetsExperience in a large company setting is beneficial, as it aligns with the structure and complexity of this roleBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans401K offered$44.23- $63.19 (est. hourly)
