Focused on enhancing the quality of life and economic growth around the Rock River, our mission is to convert Beloit's City Center into a vibrant regional hub. Our work has helped shape the surrounding neighborhoods and establish a thriving community that proudly serves a population of over 110,000.We are seeking a dedicated, part-time leader to join us as a contractor, taking on the vital role of Community Operations Director to manage the day-to-day activities of Beloit200.Position OverviewAs the Community Operations Director, you will oversee key operational initiatives and act as an ambassador for the Beloit200 mission. In this dynamic role, you'll multitask across projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and support initiatives that address Housing, Safety, and Education. You'll work closely with the Executive Director and Board to foster Beloit's continued growth and transformation.Core ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipManage daily communications, scheduling, and operational workflows.Plan, coordinate, and lead Beloit200 meetings, including community-focused City Center meetings.Create agendas, maintain proper documentation, and oversee marketing for organization-led events and initiatives.Community Engagement & Program SupportAct as a liaison between local businesses, city officials, and the community to facilitate conversations, solve challenges, and foster connections.Attend relevant city and public works meetings, representing Beloit200's interests.Collaborate on key initiatives, including the Housing Program, assisting families, managing donations, and coordinating with landlords.Support the Friends of the Riverfront initiative, promoting the beauty and upkeep of Beloit's riverfront.Assist with Nature of the Confluence, an initiative that celebrates the history and natural beauty of South Beloit.Strategic CollaborationWork with the Executive Director and Board to identify, strategize, and address community needs, such as city expansion plans.Recruit and onboard new Beloit200 members to expand our reach and impact.QualificationsLocal Expertise: Familiarity with Beloit or South Beloit is essential, with a deep understanding of the local businesses and community dynamics.Leadership & Collaboration: Proven experience working with senior executives, CEOs, and boards.Problem-Solving & Initiative: A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for community development.Financial & Operational Acumen: Knowledge of finances, grants, and fundraising is highly preferred.Why Join Us?This is a new role, perfect for someone who can hit the ground running, bring fresh ideas, and drive progress in collaboration with our team.
