Summary:A key senior role within the US Commercial team.Role Description:The Program Manager will coordinate all aspects of copper supply to the data center switchgear integrator and will be responsible for ensuring that the supply chain, from raw materials to fully fabricated parts, aligns with the build schedule.Main Accountabilities:Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the programEnsure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetDeveloping project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure resource availability and allocationDevelop a detailed project plan to track progress. Expanding current processes and information flowUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costsMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniquesReport and escalate to management as neededManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimize project risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationTravel:Domestic and International travel required.You should live in driving distance to Greenwood, South Carolina (e.g. Raleigh, Charlotte, Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta area).Responsible for:Agreeing program objectivesRepresenting GCI and its group interestsProviding advice on the management of the programOrganizing the various people working on the programCarrying out risk assessmentMaking sure that all the aims of the program are metMaking sure the quality standards are metUsing IT systems to keep track of people and progressMonitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintainedKey Contacts:Client to all levelsSub-ContractorsSales DirectorOperations DirectorCommercial Team.Technical Sales EngineerSupply ChainProduction & Site ManagersQuality DepartmentFinance DepartmentQualifications, Experience & SkillsEssential:First and foremost a problem solverGood educational background,Proven working experience as a project/program managerSolid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in manufacturingExcellent client-facing and internal communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteAbility to motivate peopleManagement and leadership skillsPMP / PRINCE II certification is advantageousDesirable:Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including product specifications etc.Understanding of quality systems and approvals within the aerospace or similar industryExperience of formal contract development and implementationExperience and knowledge of the metals industry
