Come join us!Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trendsDevelop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markingsDevelop traffic signal timing and programming plansAssist/develop with the preparation of project budgets and schedulesManage individual projects, including schedule, budgets, project team member in respect to project tasks and client coordinationCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizationsAssist with project pursuits and business developmentProvide technical support and guidance to project teamsPrepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projectsStay up-to-date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technologyConduct site visits and field investigations as neededRequirements:Minimum requirements: BS degree in Civil Engineering15 years of experience in traffic engineering2 years of Project Management type task experience with transportation engineering projectsGraduate degree in transportation engineering or similar area of study may be considered towards experienceIllinois Drivers LicenseTechnical requirements:Certifications/Licences: PE, PTOE (preferred)Technical and/or report writingExperience with CDOT and IDOT District 1 Traffic Signal DesignFederal and Illinois MUTCDStrong Familiarity with ADA/PROWAGExperience with Microstation, Vissim, HCS, SynchroOther miscellaneous qualities: Travel anticipated for 5% of the timeDedication to safety and being part safety oriented cultureOpen to working off site at client officesBenefits:Atlas offers a comprehensive benefit program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
