This is an especially exciting time to join Crane Composites due to a recent change in ownership. We are looking for a Controls Engineer who is passionate, confident, and willing to work hard. This is a unique chance to be challenged, leave a lasting impression, play a key role in shaping our operations, and maintain the high standards that have been set.The Controls Engineer will develop projects to upgrade automation for our Joliet operation. This position will work with the project teams and contractors specifying and installing control systems. This position will also provide troubleshooting and repair support.Responsibilities:Programming and implementation of control strategiesDevelop and apply strategies to optimize on-going operations using the automation platform and in conjunction with the operating and engineering staffDocumentation of systemsSpecification of instruments, control equipment, and analyzersTroubleshooting and developing repair strategies for new and existing plant controls equipmentOversee the implementation and execution of reliability programs for plant process controls equipmentProvide project controls advice regarding the procurement of controls equipmentEducation and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and working as a controls engineer for 3 years or Associates Degree with PLC certifications and working as controls technician 5+ yrs.Experience with the following required: Siemens, Allen Bradley, MicroMotion Mass Flow Meters, Reliance Electric DC drives (FlexPak, MinPak), and (Reduced Voltage Soft Starters)Knowledge of the following preferred: Wonderware/Aveva, Recipe Management Systems, and Flow ControlKnowledge of typical process industry standards and codes (NEC, NFPA etc.)Proven track record supporting process controls in a production environment Experience designing for and working in classified locations (i.e. Class 1 Div.1) - explosion proof areasCapital project development and executionPay:$120,000 - $150,000 per yearComprehensive Benefits Package:Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.Health Savings Account (HSA): W/ Employer contributionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential counseling and support services for personal or work-related issues.401(k) Plan: Company-matched contributions up to 3% of your salary to help you save for retirement.Paid time off: 11 Holidays plus vacation timeSick Leave: Paid sick leave to help you take care of yourself when needed.Parental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parents.Tuition Reimbursement: Financial support for continuing education and degree programs.Performance Bonuses: Annual performance-based bonuses to reward your hard work and accomplishments.Referral Bonuses: Earn incentives for referring successful candidates to join our team.Company SummaryCrane Composites Inc. is the world's leading provider of fiber-reinforced composite materials.
