This role is ideal for a seasoned transportation engineer who excels in project management, technical leadership, and mentorship. The Technical Design Manager will oversee highway, roadway, and multimodal projects, while coaching and developing a team of younger engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of transportation projects in collaboration with CDOT, city governments, and municipal agencies.Serve as a technical expert, providing oversight on roadway, intersection, and multimodal design projects.Manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships to ensure successful project execution.Mentor and develop a small team of junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, environmental specialists, and construction managers.Qualifications8-10+ years of transportation engineering experience with a strong background in highway and roadway design.PE License required (Colorado PE preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months).Proven experience managing projects for CDOT, municipalities, or local agencies.
