Senior Project Manager Architectural

WORK LOCATION: On-Site [San Bernardino, California]JOB SUMMARY:The Senior Architectural Project Manager will oversee the design and construction of documents for Retail, Commercial, and Industrial building projects.We are looking to hire an experienced Architectural Project Manager to oversee the Design team's execution of construction documents for our new builds and remodels. The project manager will be meeting and coordinating with external architects, consultants, internal stakeholders, and company executives to discuss the initial development, construction design, participating in the final design, and assisting with entitlement and documentation process from start to finish.To ensure success as a project manager, one should have an in-depth knowledge of architectural design, & construction experience with Best-in-Class project management techniques and skills in all traditional phases of design (schematic, design development, construction documents, administration, bidding and closeout), and excellent communication skills. The ability to translate the ideas of the organization into fully built design plans, on time and within budget.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Meeting with external and internal stakeholders to discuss development and construction designsDrafting building plans for commercial/retail construction projectsPreparing budgets, material documents, and specification lists for stakeholder approvalActing as an intermediary between the external entities and the construction teamOverseeing documentation preparedness for architects, engineers, contractors and construction crewsVisiting the site regularly to ensure construction adheres to the permitted plansEnsuring the project remains on time and within specificationsContributing to progress reports, time schedules, and revised budgetsConducting a final inspection after the project is completeREQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in architecture, design, or similarMinimum ten (10) years of experience in architecture, design, or similarValid California Drivers License with a good driving recordPortfolio of completed commercial/retail projects (preferably with grocery market experience)Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUpExcellent communication and reporting skillsAbility to translate concepts into functional construction designsAdvanced project-management skillsAbility to coordinate with multiple stakeholders dailyKnowledge of construction costs and time framesUnderstanding and interpreting of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical plans
