Andersen James (Mission Critical) are delighted to be partnered with a unique regional General Contractor based out of Richmond VA. This is a company that prides itself on building and maintaining strong relationships within the community; making a positive impact on its customers, clients & colleagues alike.They have now established a dedicated Mission Critical division, which will focus primarily on the construction of Data Centers; the fastest growing sector in the construction market right now. In line with this growth, they are looking to bring in a Senior Project Manager, for a strategic position within the team. ATTRACTIVE RELOCATION PACKAGE ON OFFERThe Project Manager is responsible for leading projects to successful completion - on time, within budget, and with an outstanding experience for their customers.Key Responsibilities:Project Ownership: Oversee all aspects of the project from start to finish.Team Coordination: Work closely with the Superintendent and project team to ensure smooth execution.Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, financial reporting, and subcontract approvals.Contract Management: Maintain and organize contract documents, review and approve subcontracts.Scheduling: Develop and maintain construction schedules in collaboration with the Superintendent and subcontractors.Preconstruction & Procurement: Support RFP development, scope definition, trade buyouts, and budget implementation.Issue Resolution: Address and resolve project challenges while aligning with client objectives.Quality & Safety: Assist in implementing on-site quality control and safety procedures, fostering a safety-first mindset.Change Management: Oversee subcontractor RFIs, RFPs, change orders, and budget revisions.Stakeholder Communication: Conduct regular meetings with owners and subcontractors to ensure alignment.Project Close-Out: Manage administrative logs and final project deliverables.Team Leadership: Supervise a small team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a strong team culture aligned with company values.Safety Commitment: Actively participate in and promote the company's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.5-7 years of general contracting experience, preferably in data centers or mission-critical projects.Strong knowledge of construction estimating, methods, accounting, and document administration.Familiarity with LEED certification processes is a plus.Proficiency in scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.Previous experience in employee management is beneficial.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.A proactive mindset with integrity, fairness, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.Some periodic travel may be required.Package & Benefits:Competitive base salary (open to attract the right individual)Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurances, short-term and long-term disability, 401k employer match, and paid time offRelocation package to help anyone who is not within travel distance of Richmond VA
