KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is an Employee-Owned companyJOB SUMMARY: A KEMRON Project Manager has responsibility for managing environmental investigation and remediation projects ranging from preliminary assessment to remediation and long-term O&M at leaking UST, chlorinated solvent plumes, Brownfield properties, and/or asbestos abatement/demolition. Supervises project engineers, project geologists/scientists, engineers, field technicians, site supervisor and craft labor in the course of project execution.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:Manage/supervise project engineers, project scientists, and field techniciansManage/execute subcontracts (i.e., teaming partner, laboratory, driller, abatement/demolition contractor, injection contractor etc.)Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraintsReview technical reports pertaining to site assessment, inspection, or remediationCoordinate/supervise investigation activities and remedial actionsPossess knowledge of environmental regulations (i.e., UST programs, CERLCA and asbestos abatement/demolition)Forecast Estimate to Complete based on incurred costs and remaining work activitiesUpdate burn schedule for field activities in conjunction with Site Superintendent/Field ManagerInterface with clients and regulators and serve as KEMRON's primary point of contactTrack progress of multiple projects including costs using Microsoft Project 2000 softwareManage multiple projects simultaneously, track project costs, and invoice clientsPrepare work plans and proposals for additional assessment or remediation workMaintain risk register from estimate and provide recommendations for mitigation of riskOversee performance of subcontractorsNegotiate/resolve subcontractor disputesCoordinate field activities of subcontractors and field staffParticipate in routine conference calls with QA/QC staffMonitor conference calls with QA/QC staffMonitor implementation of Quality Communication FormsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Geology requiredPE or PG registration preferredMinimum of Three (3) years of experience managing environmental assessment, remediation and/or long-term O&M projectsAbility to prepare and review written technical reportsAbility to manage subcontractors and negotiate/resolve subcontractor disputesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, track costs, forecast costs at completion, and prepare/review invoices40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certificate required8-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Annual Updates requiredAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to plan for, and meet deadlinesPossess excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills are a mustMust have the ability to work both independently and in a team environmentMust be proficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience using Microsoft Dynamics SL and SharePoint a plusMust possess the following personality traits:Positive and professionalOrganized and meticulous with detailsSelf-motivated and efficientOTHER REQUIRED CRITERIA:Primary residence located in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area preferredMust be located in medium to large city to support travel to project sitesWORK CONTEXT/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:Must be able to work on a computer laptop for prolonged periodsMust be able to travel to project jobsitesMust be able to support up to one week in the field at a time during startup of and execution of field activities to provide quality control and cost managementMust be able to occasionally work in outdoor conditions that may include inclement weather, such as heat and humidity, rain, extreme cold with snow/icePossible exposure to dust, asphalt, and hazardous materialsMust be able to pass an OSHA HAZWOPER physical exam and drug screeningMay work in an environment near moving vehicles and mechanical partsMust have the ability to work in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respiratory protection which may include SCBA, APR, SARMust understand and follow KEMRON SOPs for specific task(s)Must be able to travel to work/project sites and traverse all types of terrain, often only on footMust be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned tasksMust have the ability to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one workstation to another within an
