Overview: (Metairie, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage, plan, direct, lead, and coordinate activities of designated projects. The Project Manager will ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters while meeting FTSs quality requirements. This role involves leading greenfield and brownfield project design and development with a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to complete electrical installation drawing packages for high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems.Essential Duties:• Write construction scope of work, equipment purchase specifications, and data sheets.• Perform all aspects of electrical analyses, including system modeling, fault current, load flow, protective device coordination, motor starting, and arc flash using software systems.• Design medium-voltage protective relaying systems.• Develop drawings, including one-line diagrams, area classification plans & details, grounding & routing plans, installation details, and wiring schematics & diagrams.• Develop and execute equipment testing procedures, including interpreting relay logic diagrams, electrical schematics, and protective relay programs.• Complete technical reviews of all project work to ensure it conforms to industry codes, client standards, and FTS quality standards.• Establish and maintain clear communication with the client and address any questions or concerns related to projects.• Provide project status updates, including budget and schedule, to the team and clients.• Work with the Department Manager and Team Leads to identify resource expectations and monitor project progress.• Support and foster professional development of department staff through mentoring, continuing education, and training.• Participate in technical societies and associations representing FTS.• Develop project scope, estimating, and execution strategies.Requirements/Skills:• 9+ years of engineering experience in technical fields, preferably within industries such as petrochemical, refining, midstream, and marine industries.• Experience in project scope development, estimating, and execution.• Proficiency in electrical analyses, system modeling, fault current analysis, load flow studies, and protective device coordination.• Familiarity with medium-voltage protective relaying systems.• Strong skills in developing technical drawings, testing procedures, and interpreting relay logic diagrams.• Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.• Experience with commissioning, Factory Acceptance Testing, protective relay programming, troubleshooting, SKM, and ETAP is a plus.Physical Requirements:• Must be able to work in various environments, including office settings and field sites.• Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment and perform tasks that may require physical effort.Perks:• Insurance, Health, Wellness: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Life Insurance, Supplemental Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance.• Financial & Retirement: 401(k) Plan, Performance Bonus.• Family & Parenting: Flexible Hours, Family Medical Leave.• Vacation & Time Off: Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Bereavement Leave.• Perks & Discounts: Employee Assistance Program, Lunch & Learns.• Professional Support: Job Training, Professional Development, Tuition Assistance.Equal Opportunity Statement: Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
