Role and Responsibilities:The Construction Project Manager will report to a Co-President of Trainor Commercial Construction, Inc. and is responsible for modeling expert project management skills, participating as an integral part of the team and mentoring others.The role of Construction Project Manager will implement the preconstruction, construction and project closeout phases of projects with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining project controls and completing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role is expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously, multi"task and balance competing priorities.The role is responsible for negotiating, coordinating and directing work of Superintendents and in developing strong relationships with subcontractors, inspectors, and other related parties. He/she is expected to have a complete understanding and mastery of all aspects of project safety, budget, financial performance, fiscal responsibility, management of project team(s) and customer satisfaction for complex and large ($5-10M) as well as smaller ($500k-$3M) projects.This role is also expected to review and analyze project plans, facilitate bidding, negotiations and the buyout process (when warranted), review all forms (bidding, construction, or other) of requests for information (RFI's), examine and negotiate change orders, and review and comment on submittals. He/she will also be generally versed in jurisdictional and architectural design requirements.Another key function of this role is to maintain relationships in the construction community in order to provide market intelligence as well as ensure consideration for future business development opportunities.
