Title: Senior Event Specialist / Junior Event ManagerLocation: San Francisco, CASchedule: 40 hours M-F, hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)Type: 4-month contract with possibility to extend and/or convertHourly Pay Rate: $50-60/hourOur client, a fintech company that powers your favorite financial tools like Affirm, Chime, SoFi, and others, is currently seeking a Senior Events Specialist for an initial 4-month contract. Youll be responsible for enhancing events and the employee experience by planning internal events that align with the mission of creating intentional experiences. As a part of the Events & Experiences Team, youll lead all planning aspects for the companys San Francisco-based events and manage employee experience initiatives by collaborating with our Events & Experiences Team members and cross-functionally across the company for a holistic planning approach.This will be a full-time (40 hours per week) CONTRACT position, with an initial length of 4 months with the potential to extend longer or possibly convert full-time. This is a HYBRID position based out of the companys San Francisco headquarters 3 days per week. If this sounds like you, wed love to hear from you!Responsibilities:Serve as the primary contact for internal event requests associated with or taking place near our San Francisco office.Lead planning, set up, and execute office Social Hours in partnership with Workplace Experience team members.Plan, coordinate and execute the San Francisco office big hackathon event this spring and all related events.Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual ancillary event programs accessible to all employees.Manage and oversee employee requests related to Events and Experiences programs through Jira tickets, including internal events and employee engagement initiatives.Support onboarding program by hosting a monthly connection based virtual event for new hires.Manage new hire and employee milestone swag program, including forecasting inventory needs, placing orders, and leading any internal inquiries.Other ad hoc projects as needed/requested.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred.At least 5 years experience in an events planning role.Experience taking lead on various event planning projects. Experience coordinating, managing, and working with outside vendors.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Ability to communicate event details and answer questions across multiple teams.Detail-oriented with a keen eye for details.Strong interpersonal skills.Creative and forward thinking.
