Job Title: Project Manager - Community Park ConstructionLocation: El Monte, CAJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a new community park that will serve as a recreational hub for the local area. This position will oversee all aspects of project execution, from abatement and demolition to design finalization, permitting, and construction. The role requires strong leadership, coordination with design-build partners, and the ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight & Execution:Manage the construction of a multi-acre community park, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.Oversee abatement and demolition of existing structures as part of a larger site redevelopment plan.Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, and design-build partners to finalize designs and secure necessary permits.Monitor project schedule, budget, and resources, ensuring all milestones are met.Team Leadership & Coordination:Supervise a small project team, including Project Engineers and Superintendents.Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.Lead weekly project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and solutions.Quality & Safety Compliance:Ensure construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to design specifications.Enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.Community & Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with local government agencies, community groups, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community needs.Provide updates and address concerns from local officials and community members.Project Scope & Features:The new community park will be a vibrant space featuring:A regulation-size soccer field, softball diamond, and additional sports courts.Walking paths, fitness areas, and picnic spaces for recreational use.Outdoor classroom/performance space, shade structures, and sustainability-focused educational features.Children's play areas and a water feature to create an inclusive gathering place for families.Qualifications:Experience: Extensive background in commercial, public works, or park development projects.Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-phase construction projects and lead project teams.Technical Skills: Familiarity with site redevelopment, demolition, and civil construction.Communication: Strong ability to liaise with design teams, subcontractors, and public stakeholders.Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local permitting, environmental requirements, and community development processes.
