Regional Building Engineer-Central and West TexasDo you enjoy traveling for work? Seeking a Regional Building Engineer direct hire position paying $58,000k to $72,000k DOE.Position Summary:The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with the Property Manager in the management of a group of assigned properties in accordance with the terms of the property's management agreement and company protocols. A candidate for this position must be able to use good judgement and discretion to problem solve and/or resolve issues on and off property, serve as tenant liaison for the properties, and maintain a high level of tenant satisfaction. The candidate will work from home, and travel to their assigned properties in Central / West Texas. The scope of authority and duties for this position are dependent on the type, size, and complexity of the properties managed. The qualified candidate must have experience handling the maintenance for multiple properties.Duties:Perform monthly inspections of the properties, to ensure a high level of maintenance, of the interior and exterior of each property within the portfolio. Document the inspection findings with photos in the company software.Self-Perform Maintenance items such as light bulb / ballast replacement, exterior grounds cleaning, sheet rock repair, texture, tape, and float, ceiling tile replacement, pressure washing sidewalks and building, light carpentry, and painting, as needed. Other maintenance tasks may be requested.May directly or indirectly supervise security, janitorial, and other vendors relied upon to manage the buildings within the property.Coordinate and escort lender inspections, appraisers, and other required inspections.Participate in performance oversight of all service contractors who perform work on properties, for example HVAC, landscaping, etc. Coordinate and manage all vendors & 3rd party service providers.Oversee tenant requests for service, to include obtaining estimates, providing proposals, and submitting work orders. Document all service requests in Happy Fox maintenance software and update until the request for service has been completed.Purchase supplies and services required within the area of responsibility and approved budget guidelines.Coordinate Fire/Life Safety procedures, and move-ins/move-outs.Maintain Tenant Contact info; updating information for specific properties as needed.What you bring to the table:Ability to travel to properties as required within Central / West Texas and surrounding area on a regular basis, with overnight stay, if necessary.Current Drivers License and clear driving recordOffers 2 years of real estate maintenance, property management or related experience, or any similar combination of education and experience. Candidates must have worked on multiple properties for an employer.Proficiency in Google Suite.Basic understanding of computer software programs and bookkeeping programs such as Angus.Technical certifications such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical encouraged but not requiredBGSF is an equal opportunity employer
