ABOUT OUR CLIENTOur client is a reputable, general contractor with projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. They are actively hiring a Project Manager with a background in education or healthcare construction projects to support their growing project pipeline in the area. They will be making multiple hires - within their healthcare construction department as well as education. (Occupied hospital remodel and/or ground-up hospital construction projects OR education sector construction projects required). JOB DESCRIPTION:The Project Manager will support the planning, scheduling, and controlling of designs, construction, equipment procurement, and operational planning for projects involving ground-up healthcare facility construction, as well as occupied hospital renovations.Select ResponsibilitiesProvide proactive project management assistance, by evaluating and completing prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase ordersCommunicate often to develop and maintain proactive interaction with project teams. Identify and address all critical issues and conduct all reporting in a timely and accurate mannerLead in preparing and providing updates of accurate project schedule with the superintendent that will achieve the required goalsResponsible for setting up of any special procedures (i.e. owner direct purchases) and meeting with the pre-construction team to understand the scope of the projectTogether with the Project Superintendent and subcontractors, work on the close-out process, ensuring punch list is performed and all closeout procedures are completed in a timely fashionManage processing change orders and pursue timely approval and paymentProvide accurate monthly reports that forecast through project completion. Identify any items that could be a potential problemEnsure that all appropriate bonds/insurance and safety programs are in place and maintainedEnsure that safety is properly incorporated into job planning and executionMaintain positive client relationships, by resolving problems, disputes, and open issues on a timely basis and through frequent communication.CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of experience required in a construction project management roleExperience in occupied hospital remodels and/or ground-up healthcare projects OR within the education sector (higher education, k12 - ground-up and remodel)Extensive knowledge of the construction practices and processesStrong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in order to find solutions to various issues prioritize work and meet deadlinesSalary - $130,000 - $150,000
