With over 50 years of experience, our client has established itself as a leader in the U.S. construction industry and are widely regarded as one of the most prominent infrastructure construction firm in Texas.The firm are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent based in San Antonio, Texas to oversee and manage construction projects related to heavy civil works. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising large-scale civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Heavy Civil Superintendent will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and provide effective leadership for the entire construction team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, utilities, earthworks, and other infrastructure.Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project execution.Monitor and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all crew members.Manage and supervise construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring that work is being completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand project scope and objectives.Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and resolveKey Requirements:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, including excavation, grading, utilities, paving, and earthworks.Proven experience in managing large construction teams and subcontractors.Solid understanding of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.Proficient with construction management software and tools.Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
