Position OverviewUltimate Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Field Engineer to join their clients team in a dynamic construction environment. This role involves managing complex engineering projects and requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction practices. The position is based onsite, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects and ensure successful completion from planning to execution.ResponsibilitiesReview project plans and develop a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.Coordinate with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.Develop and assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring all prerequisites for starting construction activities are identified and completed.Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules and updates, communicating across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.Monitor and participate daily in the field construction process, providing layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements, and obtaining confirmations from the design engineer as needed.Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and performance records, maintaining accurate payment records.Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution, providing accurate and factual assessments of project performance.Participate in change orders and claims management.Develop and manage relationships with owners, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel.Maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment by enforcing procedures, maintaining project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety and construction best practices.Identify and resolve changing site conditions or other impacts during the planning of the work.Coordinate and attend pre-bid and construction meetings.Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities.Assist in preparing crossing applications and work plans, assuring quality control by subcontractors.Manage and submit project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution and 1 or more years of construction engineering experience.Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and OSHA requirements.Proficiency in project controls techniques (e.g., cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts).A strong working knowledge of critical path method and resource scheduling is preferred.Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.Strong organizational and time management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.Strong work ethic, highly motivated, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Required Work Hours1st shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.BenefitsCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package offered.Additional DetailsExpected annual salary range for this job is $70,000-$100,000, depending upon experience.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
