We have been delivering reliable design of complex electrical systems for over 20 years and are a pioneer in the development of engineering and controls automation.Job Type: Full-Time +, ExemptPay: Competitive, SalaryEssential Functions & Responsibilities:Startup, commissioning and modification of SCADA and PLC based control systemsField Point to Point Wiring Diagram Inspections and walk downsSolid understanding of communications methodologies using ethernet, serial, fiber, radio, coaxial, DSL, etc.Understanding control wiring and control conceptsAbility to read electrical loop and related electrical and controls system drawingsInitial setup and maintaining PLC, Networking and SCADA systems in fieldAssist with installing software on Windows workstations and servers and some configurationPerforms start up, testing and customer training on features and general maintenance of productCommunication cable and connector termination (RJ11, RJ45, specialty)Panel wiring including conductor routing, termination, harnessing, and cabling to support 5VDC up to 480VACWiring of PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, industrial computers, data concentrators, controllers, power relays and meters, cell modems, routers and other control and monitoring componentsDevelops creative solutions to more unique, chronic or complex issuesTypically provides in the field at customer sites in remote locations on most daysAbility to go to a site for field commissioning, service or maintenance visit on short noticeWork with clients, sales people, managers and engineers to coordinate project deliverables and schedulesWork with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate tradesAttend job meetings & coordinate activities as requiredAttend training as requested to further enhance your dutiesMinimum Qualifications:The successful candidate will likely have the following qualities:Must be 18 years of age or olderAbility to work accurately, with attention to detailExperience with Wonderware and Ignition a plusExperience with Allen-Bradley or similar PLCs a plusAbility to use power and manual hand toolsAbility to read an electrical, mechanical and assembly drawingsAbility to work as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibilityExcellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications are requiredEducation & Experience:1+ years of experience in an Electrical and Controls Technician (E&C) or Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I) role, HVAC System Technician, Systems Integration role or 2+ years' experience as a Controls DesignerSome college or technical school education preferredWork experience in the manufacturing, construction or engineering industry is an advantageLicense & Certifications:Drivers License Preferred, but not required.Travel:Anticipated travel for this role is 50% to 90% including overnight stays and local day travel. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation to and from the office and job sites. You will be reimbursed for business expenses such as tolls, parking and business-related mileage at a rate allowable by government standards. The expenses incurred traveling to and from the office are excluded from reimbursement.Physical Requirements:The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
