Engineering Consultant

Position ** Engineering ConsultantPosition * IBS Software Americas Inc. is seeking an Engineering Consultant to be responsible for identifying and fine-tuning systems to enable interfacing with various applications in the landscape. S/he will conduct research on available open-source tools and emerging technologies to keep the and provide innovative solutions; Analyze and recommend development activities to address new technical challenges; Perform application systems development tasks, including working with users to define system needs, analyzing and designing applications, and preparing flowcharts and diagrams; Assist and guide the development team in following coding standards and guidelines; Manage the physical structure and packaging of the iCargo product providing daily updates to the delivery manager on progress; Engage in business solutioning, design, and verification by evaluating customers AS-IS business processes, providing directions and ideas for addressing inefficiencies through iCargo capabilities. The position does not have any direct reports. Position * This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field with a minimum 5 years of experience in software or product development, or a related field. Alternatively, the employer will accept Master's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in software or product development, or a related field. Additionally, a qualified applicant's experience must include the following ** (1) Must have performed implementation of software product for one or more customers; (2)Proficiency in software languages like Java, React, micro services, JSON and SQL query; (3) Production support including content, tools, and self-help experiences - that is designed to teach and support users on how your product works, resolve their issues when they arise, and turn their feedback into new features or product improvements; (4) Experience serving as an Engineering Consultant throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is required; (5) Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications; and (6) Must have experience in OOPS Concept, Java and J2EE application architecture, JVM and memory management, interfaces APIs including JMS, JDBC, web frameworks like struts, spring, service oriented architecture like SOAP/REST.
