About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Structural/Vibrations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vibration analysis within the aerospace or automotive sectors and a strong background in using Abaqus for finite element analysis (FEA). Experience in aero-servo-elasticity (ASE) is highly desirable, as you will be working on cutting-edge projects requiring advanced modeling and dynamic analysis expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed stress and vibration analyses using Abaqus and other FEA tools to ensure the structural integrity of components and systems.Develop and validate models for dynamic structural analysis, including modal, harmonic, and transient response studies.Collaborate on projects involving aero-servo-elasticity (ASE) to analyze interactions between aerodynamic, structural, and control systems.Lead the evaluation of material behaviors under static and dynamic loads, including fatigue, creep, and thermal effects.Provide technical leadership in developing innovative solutions for vibration isolation and damping systems.Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Support design optimization efforts by providing insights into stress distribution and vibration performance.Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on analysis techniques, tools, and best practices.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.7+ years of experience in stress and vibration analysis within the aerospace or automotive industries.Proficiency with Abaqus for FEA, including scripting and advanced modeling techniques.Demonstrated experience with aero-servo-elasticity (ASE) or related multi-disciplinary interactions.Strong understanding of material properties and failure mechanisms under dynamic loading conditions.Familiarity with other FEA tools such as ANSYS or NASTRAN is a plus.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for aerospace or automotive structures.Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.Preferred SkillsHands-on experience in prototype testing and validation of stress and vibration models.Background in control systems design or integration related to structural dynamics.Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other programming languages for automation and analysis.
