Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role will lead and design for heavy industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. Develop and review key electrical documentation, align design activities with project schedules, and conduct site visits to support client teams.What you will doLead electrical engineering and design for heavy industrial projectsApply expertise in the National Electrical Code, electrical distribution systems, hazardous area classifications, grounding, and lighting designCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define project scope and coordinate engineering activitiesDevelop, review, and finalize key electrical documentation, including load lists, single-line diagrams, grounding/lighting plans, cable lists, and electrical equipment specificationsWork with project schedules to align electrical design activities with other disciplinesReview vendor documentation to determine electrical scope and design requirementsConduct site visits to gather field data and work directly with client electrical teamsWhat you will bringBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited programAbility to obtain PE registrationMinimum 10 years in electrical engineering, preferably in consultingExtensive experience in heavy industrial projectsStrong understanding of P&IDs, general arrangements, and process equipment listsExperience working with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsProven ability to lead electrical project teams (engineers and designers)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience mentoring junior engineersAbout Talon Hiring *****At Talon Hiring Solutions, we specialize in connecting talented individuals with companies that value their skills and expertise.
