Their mission is to revolutionize transportation with cutting-edge eVTOL technology, making aerial mobility more efficient, sustainable, and accessible.Role **They are seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to join their dynamic team, playing a key role in shaping the future of eVTOL technology. In this role, you will lead the design and development of advanced composite structures and components, optimizing for structural integrity, performance, and weight efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of aerospace engineering.Key *Design and develop composite structures and components, ensuring optimal strength, weight, and manufacturability.Utilize CAD software to create detailed models and technical drawings for composite, plastic, and metal parts, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.Work closely with stress engineers, manufacturing teams, and aerodynamics specialists to refine designs and enhance performance.Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses to evaluate different composite materials, manufacturing processes, and design concepts.Drive innovation by integrating emerging materials and advanced manufacturing techniques into composite design methodologies.Perform structural analysis in collaboration with stress engineers to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and certification standards.Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.*Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.8+ years of experience in composite design and development within the aerospace, aviation, or automotive industry.Expertise in CATIA V6 for composite design and modeling.Strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and their application in aerospace structures.Proficiency in composite design principles, laminate theory, and structural analysis methodologies.Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.Bonus **Experience working with eVTOL or electric aircraft.Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations for composite structures (FAA, EASA).Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
