Job Summary:Dexian is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.Responsibilities:Oversee and enhance the infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and securityConduct thorough reviews of application code to ensure quality and adherence to best practicesIdentify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the development processGuide and coach developers in diagnosing and fixing bugs efficientlyUtilize in-depth knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases to optimize performance and solve database-related issuesAddress performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure, implementing solutions to enhance overall performanceWork on tuning applications to scale from 100 users to 1000 users and beyond, ensuring robust performanceUtilize tools like Dynatrace and Splunk for performance monitoring and analysisManage and scale enterprise shared services to a global level using AWS infrastructureProvide technical mentorship and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvementRequirementsAt least 10 years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on Java applications and infrastructureExtensive experience with Java applications and codebase, particularly for performance tuningProficient in database management and optimization techniques for MS SQL and MySQLStrong understanding of infrastructure management and performance tuningExperience with scaling applications from 100 to 1000 usersFamiliarity with tools such as Dynatrace and SplunkProblem Solving SkillsProven track record of solving complex technical issuesAbility to diagnose and fix bugs efficientlyLeadership and MentorshipExperience in guiding and coaching developersStrong leadership skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative team environmentEnsure alignment with business goals by coordinating with product managers and stakeholdersCommunicationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with AWS infrastructure and cloud servicesFamiliarity with DevOps practices and toolsPrior experience in a managerial or leadership roleDesired Skills and ExperiencePlatform Engineering ManagerOn site 4 days a week in Charlotte, Jersey City or AtlantaContract to hireW2 OnlyJava, Infrastructure, Performance Tuning, Database Management, Monitoring Tools, and scaling applications!Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
