Director of Roadway/Civil Engineer

**Lead, manage, and develop a team of professionals, collaborating with other departments as needed to achieve project, program, and regional objectives.Provide senior management oversight and guidance for roadway/civil contracts.Identify and pursue roadway project and contract opportunities, including both traditional and alternative delivery methods.Oversee and actively participate in the design and review of all phases of roadway plan development for various transportation projects.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia is required.20+ years of civil engineering experience, with significant experience in staff management.Proven ability to manage projects and support staff in a multi-disciplinary environment.Capacity to lead, pursue, and oversee multiple projects and contracts concurrently.Strong client management abilities.Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic.Key ***Experience in highway design, including roadway geometrics, grading and drainage, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way acquisition.Expertise in construction plan development.
