We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join a major industrial operation in Medley, Florida. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will provide advanced technical support and engineering expertise to optimize quarry operations. The successful candidate will lead mine planning and design initiatives, oversee contractor activities, and ensure safety and compliance with environmental and operational standards.This role is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional to contribute to a dynamic team, drive innovation, and help shape the future of mining operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop mine plans and designs, including quarry optimization, production scheduling, and ore reserve estimation.Utilize advanced modeling tools and software to maximize resource recovery and operational efficiency.Assist the Quarry Supervisor with daily operations and oversee quarry activities in their absence.Perform pre-shift workplace exams and assign safety tasks to the quarry crew as needed.Manage and supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, task completion, and invoice reviews.Coordinate with quarry leadership to implement mine plans that align with production goals and quality standards.Conduct mine surveys, including UAV aerial surveys and blast hole sampling; FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification required (or ability to obtain within three months).Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors on mobile equipment utilization, tracking, and scheduling major repairs.Assist in preparing capital plans, writing spending requests, and managing approved projects.Monitor and analyze performance data related to excavation, crushing, loading, and hauling activities.Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and reporting obligations.Foster a safety-conscious work environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving operational goals.Qualifications:Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience in mining engineering, with increasing responsibilities in senior roles.Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Vulcan) and computer-aided design tools (e.g., AutoCAD).Familiarity with MSHA regulations and safety protocols for mining operations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in computer applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Competence in cost analysis and budget management.Supervisory experience and the ability to lead teams effectively.Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.Preferred Skills:FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (or ability to obtain within three months).Knowledge of aggregates and cement manufacturing processes.Experience with mining mobile equipment maintenance and tracking systems.Ability to deliver clear and concise presentations.About Us:At ttg Talent Solutions, we specialize in connecting exceptional talent with exciting opportunities.
