Our client is a pioneering & front runner of modern chemistry, they are a global company with state-of-the-art specialty chemical products, including hyper pure polysilicon.They are seeking an experienced EI&C Engineer who has a strong background a 24/7 manufacturing environment, ideally a PSM facility within chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, paper or food & beverage.What you will do:This position performs a variety of electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering work to maintain and continuously improve the performance of multiple chemical production units and related auxiliary systems. Basic knowledge of chemical and physical processes along with technical knowledge of electric power systems, field instrumentation, and local/distributed control systems are needed to execute the responsibilities of this position. The main objective of this position is to provide engineering and technical services to operations and service units in order to assure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and maximize the availability and efficiency of said units.Partner with operations to ensure availability of production units as required regarding capacity and qualityCommission as part of a team new and modified production unitsPlan and execute as part of a team system or unit turnaroundsPlan and execute small size investment projectsConduct and/ or coordinate de-bottlenecking and troubleshooting activities in operation processesCollaborate with fellow Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) Engineering counterparts in assuring safe operating conditions and regulatory compliance of production unitsConsult and support capital projects executed by project engineeringDrive and support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality and costSupport maintenance team in planning and execution of ITPM and MRO activitiesMaintain asset data in enterprise asset management and plant engineering system(s)Exercise EI&C engineering judgment with respect to the process areas of responsibility and assigned subject mattersDevelop and/or support development of specifications and standardsKeep documentation and equipment records up to dateCooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering and Maintenance department, within Operations and within other service units, with focus on achieving optimal results and solutions from a corporate enterprise perspectiveWhat we need from you:Minimum of Bachelors degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation or Controls Engineering OR Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering is required5+ years in chemical and/or oil/gas industries (or similar industrial experience) is preferred Technical knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, instrumentation and controls (EI&C) including relevant regulations, standards and codesWorking knowledge of Electrical systems Single Line Diagrams.Basic knowledge of operation/maintenance of 480V equipment, such as motors and motor control centers (MCCs)Exposure to medium/high voltage equipmentPreferred, but not required: PLC, SAP, Comos, PIPreferred, but not required: Knowledge of Safety Instrumented System (SIS) ISA-84, IEC61511 (SIL Rating, SIF Testing), OSHA, NFPAStrong verbal and written communication skillsObjective judgment and fact-based decision making approachInterpret, edit and create P&IDs, loop drawingsDevelop SIS test proceduresDesign SIL and non-SIL instrumentation control loopsAbility to work in interdisciplinary and intercultural teamsCapability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirementsStrong multitasking competencyTeam player attitudeWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time as required
