Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms.Demand for new solar projects is booming (1/5th of all the solar that exists in the US was installed last year!), but today's construction companies can't keep up due to limited labor resources. We thought this was insane, so we started working on robots to directly address this bottleneck and speed up the world's transition to renewables.Charge is a fast-moving company which means constant opportunities for learning and growth. And you get to work with 🤖 giant robots 🤖.If you are excited to work on interesting technical problems with direct climate impact, you're going to fit right in at Charge Robotics.What you'll be working **Designing electrical systems and boxes, specifying and procuring appropriate componentsBuilding and testing electrical hardware for a first-of-its-kind robotic factory and delivery vehicle system for solar hardwareSpecifying and procuring mechanical mounting hardware for these electrical systemsTracking, investigating, and resolving electrical and hardware issuesCommunicating with other engineers to integrate new designsPlaying with some very large robotsHave experience designing, building, and debugging electrical systemsEnjoy working in a fast-paced startup environmentHave excellent written communication skillsAre based in or can relocate to the SF bay areaGain satisfaction from personally playing a part in mitigating climate changeAre excited to see your work deployed onto actual solar farms!Itd also be nice if ***Have experience working with industrial robot arms, end effectors, and automation systemsHave a 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
