The Hithium North American Engineering Group wants to expand its New Product Process Development Team (NPPD) with a highly motivated self-starter with a drive for action. The role requires a highly organized individual who can synthesize complex, ambiguous requirements into inputs that feed the Localized Plant & Project Teams. You will be the primary interface between the China HQ Engineering Team, the North American Engineering Team, and the North American Projects Team during the design and development of new products, processes, equipment, and factories. You will identify and understand program dependencies, risks, and disconnected information and distill data into clear messages/plans. You can communicate & influence a wide range of staff, from senior leaders to junior staff, to support program goals.Responsibilities:Develop Engineering project plans and secure leadership alignmentDefines and effectively communicates project scope & prioritization for engineering teamï‚·Scope & implements innovative engineering and design strategies to support aggressive program objectivesOwn execution of high-quality engineering deliverables needed for procurement, costing, permitting, installation, and launch activitiesOwns equipment and process development program schedule, funding requests with the broader team, and cross-functional design reviews (2D & 3D)Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly DFMA Initiatives for the Launch of New Products and Retrofits to Current ProgramsServe as the primary engineering point of contact for North American Engineering, translating the engineering strategy & requirements to the NorthAmerican Facility Project TeamOwn engineering project status reporting of progress, actions, and risksProvides input into the design of the product, process, and equipment utilizingIndirectly leading the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering TeamProvide technical direction to the program inputs and participate in the development of training programs during the launch phase of all projectsAbility to travel, including internationally, up to 40%Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years managing multiple complex projects to success simultaneouslyExperience leading engineering development for processes and custom automation equipmentFull understanding of all engineering disciplines and ability to demonstrate skills to manage engineering resourcesExperience designing manufacturing processes, highly automated equipment, and quality inspections for the assembly of electromechanical systems.Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand complex topics/ problems and distill the message clearly5+ years utilizing MS Project or similar project management toolsProficiency and understanding of IPC and ISO StandardsFluent domain of the English Language: Ability to read, write, and speak EnglishExperience working with international culturesDesired Qualifications:Program Management Professional (PgMP)Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)Project Management Professional (PMP)Ability to Speak MandarinExperience in Lithium Battery or manufacturing of electrical components oOur employment practices are in accordance with the laws that prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by applicable law
