Actively leads improvements and implements risk mitigation solutions for business operating units. Manages regulatory and internal requirement changes for immediate and flawless adaptation in operations. This individual will work collaboratively with business units and with team members within the region to drive the Company's compliance strategy and plans to achieve world-class/zero incident Safety food and QEH&S performance.Annual Hiring Range:$97,700 - $120,000 Per YearIncentive LanguageThis position is eligible for STIP bonus of 10% based on your annual salary, dependent upon successful attainment of company, team, and individual goals.Benefits· Paid time off· 401k, with company match· Company sponsored life insurance· Medical, dental, vision plans· Voluntary short-term/long-term disability insurance· Voluntary life, accident, and hospital plans· Employee Assistance Program· Commuter benefits· Employee Discounts· Free hot healthy meals for unit operations rolesMain Duties and Responsibilities:The Sr. Compliance Manager serves as the primary point of contact for food safety audits, customer complaints, and compliance initiatives, ensuring all operational processes meet food safety requirements while fostering continuous improvement.Drive the development and implementation of food safety goals, objectives, and metrics to align with organizational and regulatory requirements.Cultivate a proactive food safety culture by engaging and educating employees at all levels of the organization.Oversee the execution of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans, allergen controls, and sanitation programs.Investigate food safety incidents, including non-conformities and customer complaints, to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute initiatives for food safety improvement and process optimizationDrives successful attainment of regional Food Safety QEH&S goals, objectives and targets at the unit level.Liaises with support functions such as Human Resources and Customer Service to evaluate and reduce potential risks.Provides operating unit technical support in the areas of quality, food safety, occupational safety and health, chemical safety, waste management, wastewater and storm water pollution prevention, air quality and environmental annual reporting.Prepares proposals and reports for unit and regional leadership.Ensures adherence to departmental budgets.Liaises with unit customers, union representatives, airport and regulatory agencies to identify emerging trends and issues.Implements special projects related to company business objectives related to Food Safety and the QEH&S.Assesses and ensures compliance with local, state and federal food safety, environmental, health and safety regulations. Ensures regulatory reporting responsibilities of units are met.Partners with units to integrate sustainable compliance solutions within operations.Supports Environmental Compliance Calendars for assigned units.Works with regulatory agencies and environmental consulting firms to achieve goals and ensure permits are in place.Supports unit operations training in Food Safety and QEH&S.Drives waste minimization, reduction and recycling process through the identification of opportunities and targets. Supports operating unit program implementation.Supports operating units in determination of quality defects, accident and injury root causes, corrective and preventive actions.Monitors, measures and communicates unit safety trends, targets and impacts through the use of QEH&S scorecards.Evaluates and continuously improves unit risk prevention process effectiveness (Business Management System (BMS), Critical Control Points (CCPs), Personal Responsibility in your Daily Efforts (PRIDE) and Ramp Safety, Quality and Delivery (SQUAD).Works with operations leadership to optimize deployment of Food Safety and QEH&S processes.Administers corporate Food Safety and QEH&S policies and procedures within hub units and make improvement recommendations.In conjunction with Human Resources, identifies and supports implementation of CSR, health and wellness initiatives at the unit level.Completes Hazard Analysis and Risk Based Preventative Controls (HARPC) Preventative Controls for Human Food training and certification course to be a PCQI "Preventive Controls Qualified Individual according to company policy.Completes all other company required training including but not limited to ServSafe Sanitation Manager Certification.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Cumulative 6 plus years' experience. Work Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related roles.Experience in the food manufacturing, food service, or airline catering industries preferred.Proven track record of managing and improving food safety programs and systemsTechnical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)Experience of Food Safety Management System (FSMS)Working knowledge of implementing/maintaining (SQF/22000/BRC/FSMS)Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar quality or Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) certifications desired, but not requiredCertified in HACCP and other relevant food safety certifications (e.g., PCQI, SQF Practitioner) preferred.Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and GFSI standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food safety management software.Language / Communication Skills:Excellent interpersonal, influencing, verbal and written communication skills required.Strong presentation skills for all levels of unit employeesProven teamwork experience in a fast-paced environment.
