Embedded System Engineer

Our Client, an An Electric Vehicle Company, is looking for an Embedded System/ Bluetooth Engineer to join their team in Palo Alto, CA!***** $66/hourHybrid ***** 3 days per week onsite (M-W-F generally- with flex depending on business needs)This is a 6 Month Contract Open to Conversion or Extention!As the Embedded Systems Engineer you will work in Python/Java to design and implement Bluetooth applications/profiles and features on Linux and Android platforms within electric vehiclesDutiesDevelop systems software architecture for Bluetooth and BLE profiles.Collaborate closely and work with Media platform, Media applications and Audio tuning teams to deliver a great Bluetooth audio experience.Write Python-based automation for Bluetooth end-to-end testing.Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders across several teams to test, debug and deliver robust software solutions.Required Skills & ExperienceBS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent fieldStrong technical competence in Bluetooth BR/EDR and Bluetooth Low Energy embedded systemsExpert knowledge in Bluetooth applications and Android ApplicationsExperience with Bluetooth stacks such as Bluedroid and BlueZ2+ years developing firmware in C++, Java, Android Application Development and PythonExperience with serial protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, etcHands-on debugging skills with test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, Bluetooth sniffer, etc)Nice To Have ***** not requiredExperience with automotive protocols, such as CANDesign and implementation of secure bootloaders and OTA procedureExperience with build infrastructure (make, Scons, Jenkins, etc)
